EXCEPTIONAL WELL RESTORED TRIUMPH TR6 MANUFACTURED IN 1974.
A DESIRABLE AND ORIGINAL UK DELIVERY TR6 TO CR SPECIFICATION WITH OVERDRIVE.
The Triumph TR6 was manufactured from 1968 to 1976 with only 10% of all productions sold to the UK. This late production was the best-selling of all the TR range and is presented in exceptional condition.
It retains its original delivery specification in striking Magenta exterior paint & black interior trim complemented by black soft top and carpets.
The TR6 was purchased by its first owner, M J Rollason, an Accountant in Worcester UK on 1st January 1975. Original purchase invoice accompanies an extensive history file detailing a comprehensive service routine, including regular bodyshell anti-corrosion proofing which has assisted in preserving its original panels to a relative rust free condition.
Extensive work & full restoration completed. In 1986 subject to a minor bodywork restoration and a complete engine rebuild including the fitting of a fast road Piper 270 Magnum camshaft. At the end of 1997 the TR6 was taken off the road and underwent a complete body off chassis and body restoration by a leading TR specialist. It returned to the road in 2006 having had a number of sympathetic modifications to assist with modern day road conditions and to enhance drivability & performance:

and a full polybush kit
• Stainless steel exhaust system
• Hi-Flo radiator
• Lumenition Electronic Ignition system
• Hi-Torque gear reduction starter motor

• New interior trim with a complete restoration including re-upholstered leather seats, new switches
and a complete wiring loom

• Chassis & sills fully Waxoyled and cavity waxed
• Complete set of braided brake hoses
• Spin-off oil filter
Since this restoration the TR6 has covered only 5,000 dry miles and retained in a de-humidified garage. The bodywork, paintwork and trim are all in outstanding condition as are the wheels and tyres which show very little wear. Mechanically the vehicle is in excellent first class condition.
The fuel injected straight six engine sounds wonderful and coupled to the 4 speed manual overdrive gearbox offers a superb drive. The gearbox is precise and nice to use, the overdrive operates on 3rd and 4th gears and engages and disengages smoothly and promptly. The sale will accompany a full service retaining its delightful history.
