This exception & unique 1952 Jaguar XK120 started off as a LHD FHC (not an original alloy car) & was purchased in 2008 by its current owner already modified to a RHD re-bodied in aluminium as a roadster.
Although a solid bodywork, the current owner stripped the body down to bare aluminium & re-painted to British Racing Green & Old English White roundels. Any panelwork was hand made by XK Motorsport producing a very light alloy bodied weighing 1,100 kg. The interior was re-trimmed in red leather & matching Hardura panel trim that complements the exterior.
The period 3,800cc period block with triple Webers & stainless steel mathematically designed exhaust, with mapped ignition produced a Dyno reading of 345Bhp. This work & rebuild of drive train was entrusted to Brian Stevens of XK Motorsport.
The engine is complimented by the following upgrades:
Jaguar V12 4 speed transmission.
Jim Tester chassis upgrades.
Brakes discs all round.
Steering rack, rear Watts linkage & Funky suspension.
Quaiffe LSD.
Turrino Borrani 16 inch with new Michelin.
D Type bespoke instruments redlined at 6,800.
Original Wellington Bomber starter button.
New leather interior trim & dash.
This race car has lot’s of JEC race history & competed in VSCC’s Brooklands Double 12, Salon Prive and competitively at Snetterton, Goodwood & previously 2004 – 2006 Silverstone, Zandvoort, Croft, Oulton Park & many more.
